Characteristics: easily and rapidly soluble in water because of its porous, compatible with most water-soluble fertilizers, also can be used as Coloring agent.
Storage: EDTA Ca 10 will store indefinitely under normal conditions, but far away from alkali and oxidant. For user convenience it is recommended that the product is stored in a dry place. Re-seal partly used packs tightly.
Usage:
As a foliar fertilizer and compound fertilizer raw materials
In addition to single-element EDTA chelates, it also offers physical mixes (blends) or compounds (chemical mixes). For physical mixes, macro-nutrients and/or additives like amino acids and humic acids can be added.

Applications
Calcium is essential for cell wall formation and structural integrity in plants. Deficiency results in blossom-end rot in tomatoes and peppers, tip burn in lettuce, and bitter pit in apples — all reducing marketable yield. EDTA Ca delivers chelated calcium that is readily absorbed through both root uptake and foliar application. Unlike calcium chloride or calcium nitrate, chelated calcium minimises antagonistic interactions with other nutrients in the soil solution. It is particularly effective in fast-growing crops with high calcium demand, such as tomatoes, strawberries, and leafy greens. Fertigation application at rates of 1–3 kg/ha per week during rapid growth stages is commonly recommended. EDTA Ca is also used as a food additive and colouring agent in certain processed food applications.
Why Calcium Matters in Crop Production
Calcium is the fourth most abundant mineral in plant tissue and plays three irreplaceable roles: it forms the structural backbone of cell walls as calcium pectate, acts as a secondary messenger in stress-response signalling, and activates key enzymes involved in nitrogen metabolism. Unlike mobile nutrients such as nitrogen or potassium, calcium moves almost exclusively with the transpiration stream — which means slow-transpiring tissues (young leaves, fruit, root tips) are the first to suffer under supply pressure.
Deficiency Symptoms and Target Crops
Calcium deficiency manifests as necrotic tip burn on young lettuce and spinach, blossom-end rot in tomatoes and peppers, and bitter pit in apples and pears — disorders that remain invisible until harvest yet can write off 15–30% of yield. These disorders are aggravated by high humidity, excessive ammonium nitrogen, and competing cation load (potassium, magnesium). EDTA Ca circumvents soil fixation and delivers a fully soluble, plant-ready calcium source. It is especially effective in soilless systems (NFT, DWC, rockwool) where calcium carbonate precipitation would otherwise clog irrigation lines.
Application Guidelines
For fertigation, a typical maintenance rate is 1–3 kg per hectare per week during rapid vegetative and early fruit-set stages. For foliar correction of acute deficiency, a 0.2–0.5% solution (2–5 g per litre) applied in the early morning is recommended to maximise stomatal uptake. EDTA Ca is compatible with most water-soluble NPK fertilisers and micronutrient packages; avoid co-mixing with concentrated phosphate solutions to prevent precipitation. pH stability is maintained between 5.5 and 7.5 — optimal for drip fertigation programmes. As a chelating agent, EDTA binds calcium tightly enough to prevent soil fixation but releases it readily at root and leaf surfaces where pH is lower due to biological activity.
EDTA Ca 10% is manufactured under strict quality control and is available with full documentation: Certificate of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS), and phytosanitary certificates upon request. Standard packing is 25 kg bags or drums; bulk orders and private-label packing are available. Contact our team for current pricing, minimum order quantities, and lead times to your destination port.
